Be Squared was created in response to a reality too many communities know well: educational inequities, limited workforce exposure, and systemic barriers continue to shape outcomes for youth long before they have the opportunity to shape their own futures. Across Washington, DC and similar communities, access to high-quality math instruction, professional mentorship, financial literacy, and career pipelines remains uneven — and in many cases, disconnected.

Be Squared was built to bridge those gaps.

It was founded on the belief that potential is universal, but opportunity is not. And where opportunity is limited, intentional infrastructure must be built.

Be Squared exists to dismantle barriers to educational and economic mobility by creating structured, measurable pathways that move youth and families from curiosity to competence, from exposure to ownership, and from participation to leadership. Through an integrated STEAM² philosophy — combining Science: Social-Emotional, Earth, Physical, and Biological, Technology and Transportation Systems, Engineering and Entrepreneurship, Arts: Visual, Culinary, Vocational, and Performing, Mathematics and Multi-Media Communications, and Sustainable Workforce Development — Be Squared connects rigorous academics with real-world application and professional access.

Our mission is to design high-impact learning ecosystems that equip youth with academic strength, career-ready skills, financial literacy, leadership development, and the mentorship necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world. We prepare young people not simply to graduate, but to build sustainable futures and positively influence the systems around them.

Our vision is a future where zip code no longer predicts life expectancy, educational attainment, or economic mobility — where youth see themselves as innovators, entrepreneurs, architects, technologists, and community leaders. We envision communities strengthened by generational bridges, where Explorers grow into Builders, Pathfinders become Guides, and Amplifiers invest back into the next generation.
